Bequests, Memorials, and Gifts of Remembrance
There are many creative and flexible ways to honor the memory of a loved one with a donation to the Arizona Foundation for Behavioral Health. A gift in someone's name to AFBH is a befitting tribute and supports continuing efforts to improve behavioral health services. A donation can also be made in honor of a birthday, anniversary, holiday or other special occasion. The Arizona Foundation for Behavioral Health is a non-profit organization. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
Your gift can take many forms. You can arrange for the Foundation to receive:
- A specific dollar amount,
- Specified assets,
- Retirement account assets, consisting of any benefits remaining in your retirement plan,
- A residuary bequest, in which the Foundation receives all or a percentage of the remainder of an estate,
- A contingent bequest (awarded if a first-named beneficiary is unable to accept a bequest).
Please note that this is general information and is not presented as specific legal or tax advice. Donors should consult an attorney or your estate planner to structure your bequest in the desired manner.
