The Arizona Foundation for Behavioral Health (AFBH) does sponsor lecture and movie series
to provide improved education for the professionals in our community and to the families and
consumers of behavioral health services. Materials from the May and October, 2007, lectures are
posted on the website at the link below.
Additionally, during 2007 AFBH hosted an inaugural training institute to empower family members,
consumers and community advocates to be more effective in individual and system advocacy.

Our first 2008 lecture is with Darby Penney on May 5th at Manning Hall at All Saints Episcopal
Church in Phoenix at 6:30 to 9 pm. Ms. Penney will present "The Lives they Left Behind:
Suitcases from a State Hospital Attic".
